“We have been fortunate to be able to call the Upper Valley our home for almost 20 years. Our children grew up here, went to school here and flourished in the environment the Upper Valley provides. Our reality, unfortunately, is not everyone’s reality who lives here. Many struggle to obtain essential things that others take for granted, including adequate housing. We were thrilled to connect with Upper Valley Habitat as a local organization working to improve the lives of our neighbors and our monthly contributions help sustain the incredible work being done. Giving to Upper Valley Habitat is one way for us to say Thank You in support of our neighbors and community.”

Other Ways to Give
Planned giving
A planned gift is a gift that is made today and realized in the future, and is an excellent way to leave a legacy. Learn more about joining our Legacy Society, making a planned gift or a beneficiary designation, and what types of planned gifts we accept here.
Donating Stock
Please contact us directly regarding donating stock. Staff will put you in touch with the financial institution who will process your stock donation.
Real estate
We welcome donations of land and property. Your real estate donation will either provide a partner family (or families) with a location for a new home or allow UVHFH to sell the land, generating proceeds to fund a home construction project. If you have a donation of real estate, please email Ashley or call our office.
Cars for homes
Want to turn your car into a house? When you donate your car to Habitat, you can! To learn more, please visit the Cars for Homes website or call 1-877-277-4344.
gifts in kind
We welcome donations of professional products, materials, skills and services (such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, site work, etc.) as a critical way to keep the construction budget low, as this means less for us to fundraiser for, and a lower purchase price for our partner family. We are thankful for any and all in-kind donations our affiliate receives, and actively pursue these gifts as well. We love to be able to partner with local service providers, and even nationwide manufacturers. Please email Ashley to discuss how you can contribute valuable goods and services to help our partner families.
sponsor a house
By providing the majority of funds to build a house, an individual, school, business, organization or any combination of these can sponsor a house. In the past, we’ve had very dramatic demonstrations of care and commitment to the Upper Valley with house sponsorship from:
Dartmouth College students (operating under the Tucker Foundation)
The People of Lyme
The Project Hope in Bridgewater and Woodstock
TimberPeg and interfaith groups of local faith communities
St. Anthony’s Parish of White River Junction
